At Bluewater, we do more than innovate, make and sell spectacularly efficient water purifiers. We are also pioneering new approaches to enhancing people’s health and wellbeing.

Our vision from the day we launched Bluewater in 2013 has been to deliver water purifiers that tangibly do good for the people using them. This means offering pristine water that people can trust to drink, to wash their food, and use to cook with.

Our founder and executive chairperson Bengt Rittri, one of Sweden’s leading environmental entrepreneurs, is driven by the desire to innovate the world’s best water purifiers because he believes everyone is entitled to drink water free of contaminants.

Like Bengt, all of us working at Bluewater pursue the ethos that clean drinking water is a basic human right. Bluewater exists to provide our customers at home or at work water purifiers that give them water as pure as nature intended.

Achieving our vision embraces tapping into the skills, energy, confidence and positive emotions of everyone working at Bluewater and our partners. Our success at doing that ensures we keep the company continuously innovating, creating value and astonishing our customers in a world where loyalty is not a given.

A powerful heritage for the future

Blueair, one of the world’s biggest names in indoor air purification, was also the brainchild 20 years ago of our founder Bengt Rittri.

Acquired by Unilever in late 2016, Blueair became a thought leader in the air purification industry thanks to a passionate commitment to the belief that breathing air as pure as nature intended is a basic human right.

Red Dot Design & Function Award

Since 1955, Germany’s internationally recognized Red Dot Design Award, has honored the very best in design on a global level. The Bluewater Cleone has been awarded the Red Dot award for its ground-breaking design and function.

Envisioneering Innovation and Design Award for Bluewater Spirit

The Bluewater Spirit water purifier was honored with a prestigious Envisioneering International Innovation And Design Award at Europe’s biggest tech show, IFA Berlin 2015. Bluewater Spirit won recognition for its innovation level, design and value to consumers. Envisioneering’s international team of technologists, marketers and industrial designers assessed each competing product, technology or service before making their choices for the ‘best of the best’ at IFA 2015 Berlin.

Transform

Bluewater was honored with no less than four prestigious Transform Awards Asia, including one Gold prize, for the successful launch of its premium water purifiers in key Asian markets, including China. The awards included being recognized for ‘Best implementation of a brand development programme across multiple markets’.

Winning the praise was a major kudos for Bluewater. It reflected how quickly we were able to build our brand image and awareness with a disruptive communications mission that broke traditional industry norms with a strategic cocktail of trade show, public relations and social media activities.
